HONOLULU (KHON2) — Strong winds slammed the Waianae Coast on Sunday, knocking out power to thousands.
DOT officials advise caution, provide updates during statewide severe weather
Kim Tripp lost power at her Halawa home early Sunday morning and drove to work in Waianae, but realized power had been knocked out there also.
“I saw stop signs blown down, I saw a street sign on the ground, it’s almost like a hurricane,” she said.
