Emergency Medical Services stay busy with early morning crashes on Oahu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Emergency Medical Services on Oahu were busy responding to calls Thursday morning.

Woman injured in Waikele

Thursday’s first incident occurred at around 6:50 a.m. at the intersection of Lumiana Street and Lumiauau Street.

According to paramedics, a 53-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle and suffered a serious head injury. She was taken to an emergency room for further care.

Moped rider crashes on university campus

A 25-year-old woman was also taken to the hospital after officials say she slid and crashed her moped at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
