PEARL CITY, Hawaii (Island News) — Repairs on a broken sewer pipe were completed after a force main break in Pacific Palisades in Pearl City on Tuesday morning.
The city’s Department of Environmental Services said the force main break happened at 10 a.m. at the Pacific Palisades Pump Station located at 1925 Lanikeha Pl. while crews were on site. Crews immediately worked to contain the spill and control wastewater flows to the pump station in order to take the pipe out of service.
The spill was fully contained over an hour later at 11:45 a.m. Crews continued to divert wastewater flows and truck them from the area while repairs are being made. The repairs were finished by 7:40 p.m. that evening…
