HONOLULU (KHON2) — The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Environmental Services is opening a limited, three-day recruitment window for Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainees.

Applications will be accepted March 1 through March 3, and officials say only the first 200 applicants will be considered.
Roger Babcock with the Department of Environmental Services said the recruitment effort is part of a long-term plan to strengthen Honolulu’s critical infrastructure.
“These are the men and women who help protect our ocean, our environment and public health,” Babcock said. “This is all about investing in our next generation of operators.”
