Man indicted for alleged Kapolei murder and attempted murder

HONOLULU (Island News) – An indictment has been announced by Honolulu Prosecuting Attorney Steve Alm against the man accused of fatally shooting a woman and injuring a teenager in Kapolei.

Shaison Laupola, 36, was indicted in connection with a shooting in Kapolei that resulted in the death of 26-year-old Noel Lono. Laupola was charged with the alleged murder of Lono, his ex-girlfriend’s cousin, and the alleged attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, and her aunt.

The indictment includes the following charges:

  • Attempted Murder in the First Degree
  • Two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree
  • Murder in the Second Degree
  • Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree
  • Five Counts of Carrying or Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
  • Burglary in the First Degree
  • Place to Keep Pistol or Revolver
  • Abuse of a Family or Household Member

Laupola is currently being held without bail at the Oahu Community Correctional Center…
