HONOLULU (KHON2) — Meteorologist Patrick Blood joined Wake Up 2Day Weather Anchor Brittni Friedlander to give us the latest updates on this powerful Kona storm.
Blood said a powerful Kona low northwest of the islands is already bringing impacts across Hawaiʻi. Bands of showers early Wednesday morning are producing rainfall rates of one to two inches per hour in some areas, with several streams running high after overnight rain.

Flooding remains possible where heavier showers persist. As of this morning, rainfall remains heaviest in Kauaʻi County and Molokaʻi.
