Shelter opens as Kona storm brings dangerous wind, surf to West Oahu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A storm system with widespread and intense impacts is affecting west Oahu.

Along the Waianae Coast, surf was high and dangerous, with brown water visible. Pockets of ponding were reported but were not described as severe.
