Homeless camp dumps debris into Keehi Lagoon

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Authorities had feared homeless encampments along streams near Keehi Lagoon Park would be wiped out by the storm, and many residents resisted evacuation.

But most of the structures survived.

A debris line at Keehi Lagoon Park sat about 50 feet from the water following the storm, and the canoe launch area was covered in debris and flotsam from the encampments.
