Residents of Oahu were still contending Monday with the damage wrought by a punishing storm that caused the most extreme flooding that Hawaii has seen in two decades.
The storm, which was at its most powerful between last Thursday and Saturday forced thousands of people to evacuate their homes, swept buildings off of their foundations and came treacherously close to overwhelming reservoirs.
