MANOA, Hawaii (KHON2) — Heavy flooding hit parts of the state just a couple of weeks ago, and forecasters are now tracking another potentially drenching system.
Cleanup is still underway on Oahu’s North Shore after recent flooding, but the focus is shifting to preparation as another system is expected to impact the state.
“We’ve got the National Guard out supporting the farmers with heavy machinery and just with shovels and manpower,” said Rep. Sean Quinlan. “State DOT is going to be clearing all the irrigation ditches, not just along the roads, the ones that run perpendicular down to the ocean.”…
