Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will make its Hawaiʻi debut next week with a fight card at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, marking the promotion’s first event in the islands.
The BKFC Hawaiʻi card, scheduled for April 11, features a lineup of fighters with ties to major promotions, including former UFC and Bellator veterans Maki Pitolo, Kealiʻi Kanekoa, Toby Misech and Zach Zane.
The event is being promoted locally by T.J. Thompson, the former ICON Sport and Superbrawl president, who returns to the fight business after nearly two decades away.
“I couldn’t be more excited,” Thompson said in a recent appearance on the television program Hawaii Sports 2Night. “It’s been 18 years since I’ve done this. I’m responsible for filling an arena, making a fight card, paying fighters — the whole thing.”…
