PEARL CITY (HawaiiNewsNow) – As rain approaches Oahu, some Pearl City residents are still dealing with damage from recent Kona low storms and fear another round of flooding could be on the way.
Residents said state crews were out Thursday clearing debris and vegetation from Waiawa Stream to improve water flow ahead of the next system. Neighbors also told Hawaii News Now workers at the ABC Junkyard across the stream stepped in to help with cleanup efforts.
But for families living just steps from the stream, memories from the last storm are still fresh…
