HONOLULU (KHON2) — An excited crowd gathered at the Honolulu Zoo to celebrate its accomplishment in meeting the high standards set by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, also known as AZA.
“It’s the biggest announcement the zoo has ever been a part of,” said Dita Holifield, enterprise services director of the City and County of Honolulu, at the press conference for the achievement. “We’re excited to talk about the number one accreditation honor in the nation.”
