Man severely injured after pinned by car in Waipahu collision; driver also hospitalized

WAIPAHU, Hawaii (Island News) — Two men were hospitalized after a collision in Waipahu on Tuesday afternoon where one of them was pinned by a car.

First responders said the collision occurred near Hans L’Orange Neighborhood Park in Waipahu on Puko Street and Managers Drive at 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services performed advanced life-saving treatment on a pedestrian, a 32-year-old man, for his critical injuries after he was pinned by a car.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old man, was also treated for his injuries. EMS did not report the kinds of injuries either of the men sustained in the accident…
