HONOLULU (Island News) — Six applicants for Honolulu’s next Chief of Police have advanced in the selection process, the Honolulu Police Commission announced on Tuesday. The commission expects to select a new chief on May 20.
The commission said the six semi-finalists to be the Honolulu Police Department’s (HPD) Police Chief will be interviewed by four stakeholder panels. These stakeholders represent different constituencies that interact with HPD.
