PHOTOS: Thousands attend pet expo to meet, mingle with community

HONOLULU (KHON2) — It’s a place to see old friends and make new ones. The Blaisdell Exhibition Hall was packed with thousands of pets and their humans on both days of the Hawaii Pet Expo 2026.

Visitors went to enjoy shopping, food and fun activities — like a mobile dog gym with one dog spotted jogging on a treadmill.

“I come here every year because I love being around. First of all, you get to meet everybody. There are people I only see once a year, and it’s here,” Teresa Parsons said. “You get to see all of the dog breeds. You get to listen and talk to the veterinarians. You get to talk to the breeders and the clubs and then just finish the parade of pets.”

Every year, the expo’s goal is to strengthen the bond between people and their pets. Attendees can learn more about how to keep animal friends happy and healthy…
