HONOLULU (KHON2) — Rain flooded the islands on May 15, resulting in major road closures and hundreds of power outages. A warning for hazardous conditions was issued by the Department of Emergency Management at 3:27 p.m.

Closures
The following areas on Oahu were closed due to flooding:
- Kamehameha Highway and Waiahole Valley Road
- Honolulu Police Department is on the scene
- The investigation is ongoing
On Hawaii Island, a fatal car accident occurred along Saddle Road. The highway between Kaumana Drive and Mauna Kea Access Road will should be avoided until 7 p.m., Hawaii Police Department said.
Power outages
Across Oahu, thousands of people were impacted by power outages. More than 35,600 people were left without power from a total of 118 outages, according to HECO’s map.
Delayed flights
