Nakia Holmes, co-founder of Houston’s controversial Turkey Leg Hut restaurant, announced on Instagram early Sunday morning that she plans to host a one-day food popup.
The popup is slated to take place 1 p.m. June 13 at the Quad, 4608 Almeda, three blocks from the former site of Holmes’ once-thriving Third Ward restaurant. It’s unclear whether the event will operate under the Turkey Leg Hut name.
Only a few details were released in the caption of the 21-second Instagram Reel: “You can close a building. You can’t close a legacy… Pull up hungry. We’re serving until it’s gone.”…
