An ongoing argument between neighbors resulted in a woman being shot dead and the suspect claiming self-defense at a northeast Houston apartment complex on Monday afternoon, police officers say.
According to HPD, officers responded to the shooting at 4:05 p.m. on 5117 Lavender Street, where they said they found a woman with a gunshot wound. Police said the woman was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
