Astros buy downtown Houston homeless shelter site near Daikin Park

The fate of a downtown Houston homeless shelter is in question after the Salvation Army sold its property near Daikin Park to an affiliate of the Houston Astros.

Dugout Properties LP, an entity tied to the Houston Astros, bought the 0.66-acre site at 1717 Congress for an undisclosed price last month, Harris County deed records show.
