Pho plays the starring role at many of Houston’s Vietnamese restaurants. But at a modern shop in Asiatown, people crowd in to order bun bo hue, a spicy, long-simmered noodle soup.
Now, that restaurant, Vua Bun Bo, is set to expand. Owner Duy Le plans to open his second Houston location at 12420 Gulf Freeway. He’s hoping to have it up and running by September, introducing bun bo hue to an ever-larger audience.
