HOUSTON (CW39) – Flooding advisories have been issued across SE Texas counties early Tuesday morning. Heaviest rainfall is over Central and East Texas.

A flood advisory is in effect until 11:45 AM CDT for the following counties:Brazos, Montgomery, Harris, Liberty, San Jacinto A flood advisory is in effect until 11:30 AM CDT for the following counties:Burleson, Washington, Grimes, Matagorda, Waller, Wharton
Flooding Reports
- Inundations reported along portions of Hardin Store Road and Decker Prairie Road. Some spots were impassible. Freeway camera show some spots are passable near TX-249.
- Inundation reported along TX-242 near I-45. Freeway camera show roads were still passable.
- Minor flooding in Montgomery County along I-69 between Splendora and New Caney
- Minor flooding reported in Navasota near Radcliff Street and Courtney Road. Ditches were getting full with 1 inch of water on road.
- Navasota Fire Department reported minor street flooding near Navasota City Hall.
- 2 inches of water on roads reported in Navasota.
Flood Advisory
Flood Advisories have been issued in SE Texas starting around 5 AM CDT. The initial advisories were issued along the Texas Gulf Coast and as the morning continued, heavy downpours started moving north to the Houston area and beyond.
A total of 1-3 inches of rainfall has fallen so far in most areas. The rainfall over the early morning hours was between 2 to 4 inches with Midfield seeing 5.5 inches between 1 AM to 7 AM.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are expected over the advisory areas.
Rainfall will continue this afternoon into the early evening. Thunderstorms look to stop closer to 3 or 4 PM. While lingering rain showers continue until about 6 or 7 PM…
