A former U.S. Attorney accused of leaving the scene of a crash that injured another driver earlier this year has been no-billed by a grand jury, according to her attorney’s office.
In May 2026, Jennifer Lower was charged with failure to stop and render aid in a crash in west Houston. At the time of the incident, surveillance video showed a black sedan heading north on Asbury Street around 8:07 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. The sedan crashed into a car going west on Memorial Drive.
But Lowery’s attorney said she did stop while the other vehicle went two blocks, pulled into a parking lot out of view from Lowery, and called 911. The attorney said Lowery left because she thought the other vehicle had departed…
