Exclusive: Florida investor doubles down on Houston with purchase of 35-story trophy tower

A Florida investor has acquired TotalEnergies Tower, a 35-story downtown high-rise that is home to the Petroleum Club of Houston.

The Wideman Company paid the building’s longtime owner, Brookfield Properties, an undisclosed amount for the 850,000-square-foot property.

Located at 1201 Louisiana, the building has an appraised value of $121.8 million, according to Harris County deed records…
