Two business owners are accused of burying hazardous waste at their North Houston property after a city investigator allegedly observed a smelly and “suspicious chemical fluid flowing onto city streets” flowing from the property, according to court records. The discovery prompted a criminal investigation.
Raul Dominguez and Priscilla Lerma were charged last week with felony counts related to hazardous waste and unauthorized water pollution discharge, court records show. Police allege the two are responsible for allowing a high-pH hazardous black liquid to flow onto public streets and burying hazardous waste on their property, according to criminal complaints.
