More than 2 months later, Baytown family still searching for missing teen girl in Houston area

HOUSTON – It has been more than two months since 16-year-old Sasha Meuchel went missing, and her family continues to plead for the public’s help in bringing her home, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Sasha was last seen on May 18, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m. leaving her grandmother’s home in Baytown. Surveillance footage shows Sasha walking out the front door with a handful of belongings before walking out of frame.

Sasha’s mother, Latasha Markham, told NCMEC that there has been no communication from Sasha since her disappearance and that she has never gone missing before. Latasha said she is concerned for her daughter’s safety and is urging the public to come forward with any information about her whereabouts…
