Woman killed in high-speed crash after running red lights in southeast Houston, police say

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that happened early Saturday around 1:40 a.m. at the intersection of Telephone Road and Reveille Street.

According to preliminary information, a car was traveling south on Reveille at a high rate of speed when it went through two red lights and struck another vehicle in the intersection. Officers and medics tried lifesaving measures, but the driver of the speeding vehicle — a woman in her 20s — was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The other driver suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Police said each vehicle had a single occupant…
