HOUSTON, TX — Dr. Matthews and community activist Quanell X visited the Popeyes at 11820 Jones Road after a customer reported receiving chicken that appeared spoiled.
The customer said that when she originally returned to the restaurant, management told her the chicken smelled and looked rotten. She received a refund for the order.
However, during the visit, the same restaurant manager described the discoloration as bruising and said the location replaced its chicken and contacted its poultry provider.
