New Magnolia Mayor Chris Blair said he has “major” concerns about a proposed 200-acre mixed-use development in Montgomery County, but he is trying to be open-minded as the city weighs whether to approve the potentially game-changing development north of Houston.
Called Magnolia Town Center, the proposed $1 billion project could be one of the largest mixed-use developments the small city has ever seen. Pitched by Friendswood-based developer Tannos Development, the town center comes as a wave of developments across Montgomery County are turning once rural areas into new housing and commercial projects.
