Construction has begun on a long-awaited 17-story high-rise in Houston’s Galleria.
Tuesday afternoon, chain-link fences surrounded the site as bulldozers rolled across the dirt at 4100 Westheimer Rd., just down the street from Highland Village. Developed by Stonelake Capital Partners, 100 Park Place is expected to feature roughly 250,000 square feet of office space, 12,000 square feet of retail and a 4,700-square-foot terrace.
An old state filing for the project dating back to 2022 estimates a $60 million cost and a mid-June 2028 completion date. Stonelake Capital Partners did not immediately respond to Chron’s request for an updated cost or timeline.
The project has faced repeated delays. Chron previously reported construction was expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025, after an earlier groundbreaking target of summer 2023. New fencing went up around the property in December 2024…
