A Taiwanese dumpling chain could be opening its first Houston location in the city’s Heights neighborhood.
Bafang Dumplings is planning to open a Houston restaurant at 915 N. Shepherd Drive in Suite H, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). While details in the filing are preliminary, the project could kick off on Dec. 15, lasting through mid-June 2027.
The space is in the Merchants Park shopping center. Suite H was previously home to MOD Pizza and, before that, a Capital One bank branch.
The remodel, expected to cost approximately $300,000, would encompass 2,850 square feet of currently vacant space. Bafang Dumplings did not immediately respond to Chron’s request for comment Sunday, but the chain’s website indicates plans to open additional locations in new cities with franchise opportunities coming to the U.S…
