Costco, the retail giant headquartered in Issaquah, Washington acquired a 20-acre lot in Fort Bend County from real estate and development firm NewQuest Properties in early November. This is according to the news outlet Lone Star Live.
Realty News Report writes that Costco has plans for a 154,648-square-foot store on the site which is located in Richmond, a western suburb of Houston. The location for the new warehouse is located at the intersection of West Airport Drive and the Grand Parkway. The Costco website has a projected opening for the new store in June of this year.
There are already 38 locations for the retailer across the Lone Star State. That is the second most for any state–well behind California which has a total of 135 that state has three more slated to be open later this year.
