Driver from Houston facing drug charges in Victoria County

VICTORIA COUNTY, Texas – Sunday, Victoria County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 59 northbound near Post Oak Road.

The driver, 47-year-old Hector Cantu-Guerrero of Houston, was with his wife and young children.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found 13 wrapped bundles of a white powdery substance in each.

The bundles tested positive for 25 pounds of cocaine.

Cantu-Guerrero was arrested for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

He is in the Victoria County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Charges are pending on his wife.
