Rivers remain high, some still rising despite drier outlook

HOUSTON (KIAH) – It’s a much-needed break from heavy rain this week, but many rivers remain in flood stage, and some will remain in flood stage all week. As of Monday morning, major flood stage continues for the West Fork San Jacinto near Humble, as well as the Trinity River in Liberty county. In fact, the Trinity River near Moss Bluff is forecast to exceed its record height (during Harvey in 2017) by a few inches.
