Houston area postal worker accused of stealing cash and gift cards from mail

A 35-year-old postal worker has pleaded guilty after being accused of stealing from customers on her delivery route, U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani announced Friday. Laura Aguirre, 35, who worked as a postal clerk, which means she was responsible for storing and delivering mail, has since been charged with theft of mail as a postal employee.
