HOUSTON (KIAH) – A 68-year-old Houston man will now spend time in prison after admitting to orchestrating a $6 million Medicaid fraud scheme. Rene Fernandez Gaviola plead guilty on January 26th to fraud after confessing to making fraudulent claims for pediatric dental services. He will spend 10 years in federal prison with the possibility of parole.
