HUMBLE, Texas – Early this morning, night shift officers were alerted via a license plate reader of a stolen license plate on a Corvette entering the city. Officers located the vehicle in the southbound main lanes of US Hwy 59 near Will Clayton Pkwy and attempted to conduct a stop. The driver refused, initiating a pursuit that spanned approximately 16 miles. The suspect then bailed out of the vehicle and began to evade on foot. A Texas DPS Airship assisting with the pursuit illuminated the suspect with their spotlight, causing him to surrender.
