Fatal road rage shooting under investigation on Houston’s East Freeway in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 13500 East Freeway about 10:45 p.m. on Thursday. The identity of the 21-year-old male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to the Houston Police Department (HPD) Homicide Division Detectives M. Barrow and J. Caten, HPD patrol officers on routine patrol witnessed a possible road rage incident while traveling eastbound on the East Freeway. Officers exited the freeway, made a U-turn, and found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center in critical condition. On Saturday, doctors pronounced him deceased.
