Female drag racer nominated for Texas Sports Hall of Fame

DALLAS, TX (KDAF) – A Texas native is a nominee for the 2024 Texas Sports Hall of Fame .

Erica Enders, from Houston, is the winningest woman in motorsports. She’s one of drag racing’s biggest stars and is looking to win her seventh world title this year.

Enders has 49 wins and six world championships and is the defending NHRA world champion. She races the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage/Melling Performance Pro Stock car for drag races. October 10 through the 13 she will be competing in the Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex. Click the video above to see her full interview with reporter Brittany Breeding.
