Francisco Javier Ochoa Wanted in Killing of Joselyn Espinoza

HOUSTON, TX – According to a police release from the Houston Police Department, charges have been filed against Francisco Javier Ochoa, 19, who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Joselyn Espinoza. She was found at 1501 St. Joseph Parkway at approximately 2:45 a.m. on September 15.

Ochoa has been charged with manslaughter in the 209th State District Court. He remains at large.

Houston police were called to St. Joseph Medical Center after Espinoza, who had suffered a gunshot wound, was transported by private vehicle. She was later transferred to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Following further investigation, police identified Ochoa as the suspect and determined the shooting occurred in a motel parking lot in the 15000 block of Mesa Drive. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has since charged Ochoa for his role in the incident.
