It could be a wet Halloween in Southeast Texas

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — This afternoon, there is a slight chance of a few isolated, light showers in Southeast Texas as a weak front tries to push through the area. Any rain that falls today would be brief, and only amount to a trace or a hundredth of an inch at most.

Fog is on deck for your Saturday morning, but should burn away by about 11am, and temperatures will once again rise to the upper 80s in the city.

By next Tuesday, we’ll start seeing some more significant changes take shape across the area, as a stronger system approaches. Slight chances of rain on Tuesday increase into Halloween. As you head out for trick-or-treating, there’s a 40% chance of rain.

Rain totals for next Thursday, in fact, could be upwards of 3/4″. That of course would put a damper on your Halloween, to say the least.
