Parent of Cypress Springs High School student says her child was stabbed in school altercation

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Last week, students at Cypress Springs High School witnessed two male students get into an altercation during lunch.

On a video circling around the school, one student is seen walking up to another student to exchange words. Shortly after, the student pulls out a pair of scissors and stabs the other student. Administration is seen in the video immediately running after the student with the scissors to remove him from the scene.

Many parents say they did not receive communication of the incident, but Cy-Fair ISD said it released the following statement Tuesday:

Dear Parents and Guardians:

This morning, during one of our lunches, an altercation broke out between two students at Cypress Springs High School. CFPD and school administration immediately responded to the situation. One of our students required medical attention and was transported to a nearby facility. A pair of scissors was used in the altercation. The students involved have been removed from campus and will be disciplined according to the Student Code of Conduct.
