Housekeeper Indicted for Fraud Against Elderly Victim in Sugar Land

The Sugar Land Police Department has announced the indictment and arrest of Reina Umana (or Umaña) on a Third-Degree Felony charge for Fraud Against an Elderly Person.

According to authorities, Umana, while providing housekeeping services for a 73-year-old victim, allegedly discovered the location of the victim’s checkbook. She is accused of forging and cashing multiple checks for personal gain.

Law enforcement urges anyone who may recognize Umana from previous work to review their bank statements. If any fraudulent activity is suspected, individuals are advised to contact their local law enforcement agency immediately.
