Houston police are investigating the death of an individual discovered at 7811 Wickersham Lane in the Mid-West area of Houston around 4:50 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2024. The identity, gender, and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to officers, they responded to a call about a deceased person found inside a vehicle that had caught fire. At approximately 12:55 a.m., the vehicle had struck the back of an unoccupied truck in a driveway. Several hours later, the vehicle ignited, causing a fire that spread to the parked truck and the home. The residents of the home called 911, and no one else was injured.
