SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Florida ( MyFloridaNews ) — Three suspects linked to a series of ATM robberies across multiple states were arrested following a traffic stop in Santa Rosa County. The arrests occurred on December 18, 2024, when deputies pulled over a 2024 Nissan Altima on Highway 90 in Pace for a window tint violation.The individuals, identified as 18-year-old Andrew Bishop, 20-year-old Dylon Thomas, and 19-year-old Brad Fokam, all from Houston, Texas, were connected to ATM burglaries spanning southeastern states, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. The suspects were linked to an organized crime group based in Texas, with similar crimes reported in Mississippi, Alabama, and Pensacola earlier in December.During the vehicle search, deputies discovered a trafficking amount of fentanyl powder, 24 baggies of synthetic cannabinoids (Spice), marijuana, and ATM burglary paraphernalia. Fokam and Thomas initially provided false names and dates of birth to law enforcement, stated the source.The suspects face charges including trafficking fentanyl, possession of synthetic drugs with intent to sell, providing false identification to law enforcement, and possession of a controlled substance. Their method involved using super-glue-coated debit cards to disable ATMs, ambushing technicians, and robbing them of cash, according to the press release.Sheriff Johnson expressed satisfaction in apprehending the suspects and warned against bringing crime into Santa Rosa County. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone finding a glued card in an ATM slot to leave immediately and contact law enforcement.
