Severe weather possible on Christmas Eve and Christmas

HOUSTON , Texas ( KIAH ) — A storm system poised to move through SE Texas on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, could bring severe weather to the area. Ahead of a cold front associated with this system, a few spotty showers are possible on Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures will be warm regardless, in the low-to-mid 70s. As the front moves through, it will bring with it a line of showers and storms, some possibly strong or severe. In the overnight hours, flooding is possible, as are strong winds and small hail. The front should clear by sunrise on Christmas, and the rest of Christmas will be dry, but highs should still warm up in to the upper 60s and lower 70s across Southeast Texas – not very Christmas-like, but at least the rain will be done with early on in the day. Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
