Three teens shot on Christmas Day during a botched robbery attempt

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — An aggravated robbery gone wrong in North Houston led to three teens between the ages of 12 and 14 being shot. Police were called to the 12000 block of N. Houston Rosslyn following reports of a shooting and found one teen down with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to an area trauma center in critical condition. Two other teens were also found, followed by a man who claimed the 3 teens along with a fourth, who was detained later in the investigation, attempted to rob him of his firearm.

He confessed to shooting the teens before turning himself in to police. Multiple firearms were recovered from the scene, bagged and sent to the forensic lab for testing.

Early reports claim the teens used BB guns, but these reports have not been verified.
