HOUSTON, Texas – A service dog remains missing following a carjacking at a convenience store in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. The incident occurred on January 1, 2025, when the victim’s vehicle was stolen with the dog inside.The victim had briefly entered a store on the 900 block of Westheimer, leaving her 2013 red two-door Honda Accord running with her support dog inside. Upon returning, she found an unknown male in her vehicle. As she attempted to confront the suspect, he reversed the car, causing her injuries, and fled the scene with the dog still inside, stated the source.The suspect is described as a Black male with a long beard, wearing a dark-colored short sleeve shirt and black pants. The missing service animal, a 9-year-old Maltese Papillon named Isabella, is microchipped. As of January 6, 2025, neither the vehicle, bearing a Florida license plate ending in Z85, nor Isabella have been located.Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest or charging of the suspect.
