The Houston rodeo creates slow business for already struggling restaurants

The rodeo generates hundreds of millions in economic impact for Houston. However, locally-owned restaurants are often reeling from a loss of business in March.

Revenue was down 20% for Auden in its first rodeo season last year. This year, Auden has generated 30-40% less weekend revenue than normal, chef-owner Kirthan Shenoy said, despite the restaurant starting off better than last month.
