Severe storm chances increase on Monday and Tuesday in southeast Texas

HOUSTON , Texas ( KIAH ) — There’s a chance of severe weather Monday and Tuesday afternoons across Southeast Texas, and the chance for flooding in our northern counties.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a marginal chance of severe weather today across our northern and western counties.

And for Tuesday the SPC has issued a slight chance (level two of five) of severe weather across most of Southeast Texas.

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a flood watch for Tuesday for the chance of flooding, with likely 3″ or more accumulating between Tuesday at noon to 10pm.
